Daniel James is out of Wales’ Nations League games against Turkey and Montenegro, according to Leeds United boss Daniel Farke.
It is the first injury blow for Wales under new head coach Craig Bellamy, who included the 26-year-old winger in his first squad, announced on Wednesday.
Farke says James has a hamstring injury that has ruled him out of Leeds’ home Championship game against Hull City on Saturday.
“Dan James has a hamstring injury and will miss the [Hull] game. He won’t travel with Wales,” said Farke.
Bellamy will nervously await any more injuries before Wales host Turkey in Cardiff on Friday, 6 September and then play in Montenegro three days later.
