David Healy: Raith Rovers make approach for Linfield boss

Linfield have confirmed that Scottish Championship side Raith Rovers have made an approach to speak to Blues manager David Healy.

Rovers are on the hunt for a new boss following the dismissal of Ian Murray earlier this month.

Healy’s current deal at Windsor Park runs until 2025.

The former Northern Ireland and Rangers striker, 45, has led Linfield to five Irish Premiership titles since taking the reins in 2015.

The last of those Gibson Cup wins came in 2022 with Larne having won the last two league titles.

Last week, Healy ruled himself out of the running to become Preston manager, saying “I have a job to do at Linfield”.

Rovers finished second in last season’s Scottish Championship but missed out on top-flight promotion with defeat by Ross County in the play-offs.

They beat Partick Thistle on Saturday after losing their season opener to Airdrieonians.

Linfield have started the 2024-25 Premiership season with three straight wins and host Loughgall on Saturday.
